BIS/BISS/Am./Can. Ch. Chrisdon's Distant Thunder - "Boomer"
(By Ch. Karnovanda's Gray Spirit x Ch. Chrisdon's Amalia)
Date of Birth: June 30, 1997; OFA: SH-13302G25M-T; CERF: SH-6400/2005-95

Boomer currently lives with his professional handler, Gretchen Sahloff, outside of Toledo, Ohio. Boomer has sired 23 American champions to date (mid-2005) and several more of his offspring are Canadian champions. We would like to express our gratitude to the owners of the lovely Siberian bitches that have come to Boomer for breeding.
Boomer spent the year 2000 in Canada with Jim Harbert and achieved the rank of #1 Siberian and #3 Working Dog during that time. He was the winner of the Canadian National Specialty, Best in Show at the Show of Shows in Ottawa, and won multiple other Bests in Show that year.
After returning the the U.S., Boomer was handled and conditioned to perfection by Gretchen Sahloff. In 2002 and 2003 he won multiple Bests in Specialties and multiple Group Firsts, and was ranked in the Top 10 for the breed. He won Awards of Merit at two Siberian Husky Club of America National Specialties, and was the winner of the Stud Dog class at the SHCA National in 2002. He is retired from the show ring now, but will be back as a Veteran occasionally.

April, 2000 -- Best of Breed at the Siberian Husky Club of Canada National Specialty; Best in Show at the Northwestern Ontario Working Dog Association; Best in Show at 2 all-breed Lakehead Kennel Club shows. All in the same weekend!

October, 2000 -- Award of Merit at the Siberian Husky Club of America National Specialty, St. Louis, Mo. Over 150 champions competing for Best of Breed.
November, 2000 -- Best in Show at the "Show of Shows" in Ottawa, Ontario. Only Best in Show winners are eligible to enter, and the winner is chosen by a panel of international judges.
